A Day in the Life
Life in the tax team is a balance of technical work, advisory conversations, and problem-solving.
You might start your day reviewing personal tax returns or supporting a business with corporation tax compliance. Later, you could be advising a client on tax-efficient planning, supporting an HMRC query, or collaborating with colleagues from Accounts or Payroll to ensure every angle is covered.

Roles within the Team
Tax Assistant
Supports with preparing tax returns, organising client records, and assisting senior staff with compliance and advisory work. A great entry point for those beginning their tax career.
Tax Associate
Handles day-to-day tax tasks, client queries, and technical analysis under the supervision of senior colleagues. Builds strong foundations in both personal and corporate tax.
Tax Senior
Manages a portfolio of clients, prepares complex tax returns, researches legislation, and supports planning projects. Acts as a key point of contact for clients seeking technical guidance.
Tax Manager
Oversees the delivery of high-quality tax services, reviews work, and provides strategic tax planning. Works closely with partners to support major clients and specialist cases.
Corporate Tax Specialist
Focuses on business and corporate tax matters, including compliance, restructuring, R&D and planning. Supports companies of all sizes with clear, practical advice.
